Long days

It’s amazing how much longer the day seems when you get up early.

I’m not really a morning person, and I’ve carefully arranged my schedule so that I don’t usually have to wake up before 10 or 10:30 am—not before 11:30 if I have any choice in the matter. Between a self-determined college schedule and my fairly flexible work-from-home job, I forget what it’s like to be up in the morning.

I had to get up at 6:30 this morning and make it in to Kirkland by 7 to get some work done, and it feels like I’ve been up forever. Since I’m used to waking up around now, I’ve also forgotten the morning ruitine…for example, I skipped breakfast because I’m used to eating about an hour or so after I wake up---turns out that was a bad idea.

In any case, I feel like I’ve been up forever.
