Google blog search — Jason Preston

Interestingly enough, google is blog-searching through blogger, not Google itself.

While they lose the Google name-recognition itself, it does fit well into the Blogger service umbrella—I’m not sure I like it though. I was looking forward to having an “rss” tab on the google homepage, not having to go to a separate site.

If Yahoo! ads an RSS tab to their search box, I’ll be sorely tempted to switch back to their search.

Start.com needs to get their rss search running, too (although the feeds feature is pretty neat).

On another, entirely unrelated note, I’m heading out to Dublin in a few hours. It’s going to be an exciting weekend with a bus tour, a Guiness factory tour, and hopefully several pictures. Unlike my last two-week jaunt, I should be able to come up with some sort of consice photo-laden entry for you—I just got my new camera today: the Canon SD400 digital elph.
