Editing

I touched on this earlier with my post on big media, but I think it needs some further note.

Editors are things that bloggers do not have. I understand that. Frequently, while I’m quickly making a post or two before I head out the door (why is it that you’re always most productive when there’s no time?) I’ll use the wrong “its” or I’ll capitalize something that shouldn’t be capitalized. But I tend to fix them.

It’s just part of having a good looking blog, and being a respectable writer.

Every time I see an entry just slapped together, either not using real english (OMG thx for teh H4x!) or not caring what real english is (that the thingis waht it used to, be), I cringe. A blog is part of your image to the world. If you bother to match your shirt to your pants, you should bother to match your commas to your grade level.

Nobody’s perfect. Nobody blogs without errors. But it would do you well to fix the errors when you find them.
