Is a blog a promise?
I’m sure every blogger struggles with writing from time to time.
There’s a feeling, when you create a blog and a readership, that you’ve created a promise. You should write something new every day.
Despite the fact that I am an unstoppably proliferate writer, I often have trouble coming up with a worthwhile subject or just the motivation to sit down and post something. As a result, this blog has often been subject to the whims of my writing moods, varying from zero to (i think) as many as five posts in a single day.
But is a blog a promise?
On some level I think it is. Writing a blog, to me, is a lot like writing an opinion column for a newspaper. There are a lot of differences, realisitically, but the basic concept is the same: regular writing.
So while I might not be getting paid, edited, or even read, I’ve always got this feeling that I need to post at least once per day.
