Flicker
Despite the fact that I myself am extremely enthusiastic about gaming, I don’t actually write as much about it as I should. My time is usually split between doing enough stuff that I feel like I’m [Image removed]actually justifiably in another country, reading, and writing. If I had more time for games, I might write more about them, I guess.
This is probably part of the reason why Flicker is flailing around like a flopping marlin. Two other reasons are that Ethan is the only other person who has realistically contributed to the site (my good freind David did write a review, and for that I thank him), and that Flicker has never really settled into a solid identity as a site.
The second problem is tied to the first—Flicker was unsure of what it was when it was born, and I knew that was going to be a problem, but I’d decided to bravely forge ahead as a collaborative bog and see how it went. It probably would be a pretty decent collaborative blog if anyone else ever blogged. The lack of contributors (and therefore content) has hurt the site tremendously.
I get more traffic here (and that’s not saying much).
It’s time, therefore, to redefine what Flicker is. For the time being, the site will remain as it is. In the background, I think I would like to restructure flicker as a gaming newsletter. A monthly e-zine of gaming opinion pieces, articles and links to the blog entries people are most proud of, as well as a few proprietary features.
If you’re interested in games, or just in the Flicker e-zine idea, shoot me an e-mail:

The internet is a collaborative place, and I’m always happy to work with people to come up with good material.
