Too much Animal Planet

It’s interesting that we judge animals by human characteristics.

[Image removed]Throughout history Lions have been considered very noble beasts (which is evidence of the importance on first impressions). Recently, it’s been discovered that lions act more as scavengers, finishing off the meat from another animal’s kill after scaring it away.

In people this is a despicable quality. We do not hold highly those people who prey on the work of others, and therefore we are slowly learning to dislike the lion. Why should we judge it on human values?
