Steam "reloaded"
There’s a big change going on with the Steam platform (Valve Software’s innovative game content delivery system), and it looks alright so far.
[Image removed]Supposedly, there have been some changed on the back-end as well, improving the content delivery and various other tweaks. As always, the most tangible change is the user-interface. I think that although rounded edges are nice, it’s gotten a bit clunkier overall.
The changes to the store are nice though. It’s good to be able to purchase individual games (we all knew that was essentially going to show up as soon as DOD: source).
On a side note, I use Firefox, and since I’m behind a Proxy server here at Sussex, I have to enter login information whenever I open a browser. As a result, Firefox is usually setup when I open Steam, but IE is not…and for some reason Steam will grab IE for it’s page browsing instead of my default browser…which is just weird.
