Photoshop dumb-point-oh
I’m always amazed at the things I can’t do in Photoshop.
It’s a lot more likely that they can be done, and I just don’t know my way around the tools well enough to really get things done right, but they seem so damn simple that they ought to be easy to find.
For example: the site logo? I rounded the corners on the image today so that it goes better with the new site color (white…). But I couldn’t do that in photoshop! I had to go to MS paint, create a rounded-corner non-filled white box (another thing you can’t do in photoshop---make unfilled boxes), and then white out the corners.
It was simple, and it took me five minutes to do in Paint. Why can’t I do this is the most powerful image editing program available?
In the end, I added 5k to the image size, because the Paint compression utility isn’t as good.
