IceRocket

A while ago I posted on how IceRocket was wandering into the blogsearch world, and how I was going to keep an eye on them to see how they do.

So far, they’ve been doing well. Between them and Google, I probably keep track of most incoming links, which is really cool to see. I’ve noticed, however, that when IceRocket displays a blog hit, there’s the option to “Subscribe!” to said blog’s RSS feed right there on the search page.

This is really cool.

This is also really annoying.

As a bit of a stats-o-holic, I have my rss feed wired through Feedburner so that I can do cool things like see how many people are grabbing my feed. The problem is that IceRocket has grabbed the base feed from WordPress for their link.

I don’t think I’m the only one who uses feedburner. I can’t, off the top of my head, think of a good way for people to be able to register a preferred RSS feed in Icerocket without letting just about anyone stick in their own feed of choice, but it would be nice to have that option.
