Del.icio.us

I first learned about del.icio.us from Byron, and it took me probably a week and a half to fully understand how it worked. Back then it looked a lot rougher (the web interface has been updated a bunch) and it wasn’t as widely known as it is now.

Just the other day, Jason Calcanis posted about how subscribing to fred’s delicious feed is the new way to keep track of his thoughts. It’s a cool idea really — it hadn’t occurred to me yet how some people use del.icio.us to really keep track of the various links they find lying about or things they’d like to go over again and maybe post about.

I use del.icio.us mostly to keep records. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been writing a post and thought of an article, fact, or picture I’ve seen online but can’t for the life of me find again…solution! All tagged and organized in my own little database.

Any way you look at it, it’s clear that del.icio.us (especailly since you can search it) is going to be changing the way people interact with the internet.
