Pink and Blue

Today was absolutely gorgeous. In every direction, the horizon was ever so slightly smudged with a light pink that faded into blue, outlining the tendril-like tree tops on the surrounding hills. The sky was clear blue and almost entirely empty.

So is campus.

After not sleeping at all last night (which was probably not a good idea, since I have to do the same thing in two days), I managed to be awake to say goodbye to quite a few of the friends I’ve made over here. I’m excited to go home myself, but at the same time I’m going to savor these last few days in England.

And also, to Hannah and Meg:

Sorry I missed you this morning and we didn’t get to say a proper goodbye, but I definitely enjoyed spending the semester with you guys and I’ll probably end up seeing you again anyway. I hope your flights go (or went) well, and that you both get home safely. Happy holidays.

P.S. I’d have taken a picture of the sky but I’ve broken my camrea. !!!
