Oh that's right, it's radio
I haven’t really listened to the radio in years. For the most part, while I’m home, I tend to listen to music that my friends bring around and then choose the songs I’d like to add to my library. That’s my system for new music — it works a lot better than radio because my friends tend to understand my tastes well enough to be good filters.
It’s probably not fair, but that’s how I’ve been doing it. As a result, two things have happened: first, I’ve missed a lot of music over the past few years and second, I’ve forgotten what it was like to listen to the radio.
After coming back from England, however, I have a new appreciation for radio. The problem is that I’ve now heard a song on the radio that I really like, but have no way of finding out what it is. This is the kind of frustration I haven’t known in years. Like since I recorded Beat It onto cassette from the radio since I didn’t know any other way to get the song. I also didn’t know what it was called or who it was by. I do now, I promise.
Either way, I have no idea how to go about finding this song. That frustrates me. Also, I can’t just go through iTunes, because their library is unfortunately a lot smaller than it should be.
