WoW patch woes

As I know many (millions, in fact) people play World of Warcraft, I’m sure that we can all sympathize with patch days. These are the horrible days when Blizzard forces every single player to download at the very least 50 megabytes of patch over servers that are constantly overloaded.

Since the downloader never works on my computer anyway, I long ago gave up trying to get the updates from the in-game service. My regular haunts are Fileshack and FileFront.

But today I discovered a truly wonderful site. It’s a directory that conveniently hosts the most recent update file at all times. It’s also not very busy. There were no waits, and my download went at, oh, around 700 k/s.
