Dinner delight
When I was in England, I had to cook for myself. In the end, my friends and I never really cooked or ate alone---almost every night of the week I was either cooking for four people or having something delicious made for me. It gave the whole experience a very nice home-like atmosphere and made for a good opportunity to learn delicious recipes.
Tonight I’ve told my family I’m going to make one of those recipes for them.
I plan to put together a delicious sesame pasta dish with shrimp and mushrooms kind of sauted into the mix. I’m hoping it turns out OK.
I e-mailed my friend Hannah for the recipe, who insists that hers tasted nothing like her mothers, as I’m sure mine will taste nothing like hers (which is too bad, because it was great). Regardless, if I follow her excellent cooking advice:
-
I always put together a super fantastic playlist that typically includes Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, and Stevie Wonder.
-
Drinking nearly an entire bottle of Pinot Grigio as you cook will enhance the flavor of your dish when finished and make you more pleasant in the kitchen.
…I’m sure it will be an excellent meal.
