Where do you get your news?

My (the younger) generation has been accused (no link, but I’m sure it’s out there somewhere) of slowly killing the print media. And the radio. We never listen to radio. We never read the newspaper. Why should we? We have MTV and CNN.

Except I don’t get my news from television. Ironically, TV is more or less the only place that I get no news whatsoever.

I’m probably (read: definitely) an odd man out in my generation, but I see TV as essentially entertainment. I rarely to never watch anything over cable or broadcast, and when I do, it’s usually Whose Line is it Anyway?, which is a great show.

In contrast, I listen to NPR in my car, and I have the headlines from the NYT and the Yahoo! News ticker on my start page. The vast majority of my news comes from the print media (albeit in internet-print form). So much for killing newspapers.
