The synching problem

I love my desktop. I’m the kind of guy who will probably never feel comfortable with using just a laptop as my main computer.

Desktops are generally faster, more reliable, more expandable machines. But one thinhg they are definitely not is portable.

So I also have a laptop. And I love my laptop, I take it with me whenever I travel, and I get to use it in coffee shops or by pools or on planes or practically anywhere I want. But the problem is that I have trouble getting everything synched between my computers.

I hate having to use six different webmail interfaces because I’m trying not to mess up my Outlook inbox. And I’m far too lazy to copy my outlook mail file between computers every time I switch (which can be often).

I wish there was some easy way to get everything synched up between the two. Word documents that I’ve been working on. E-mail. RSS feeds. Everything.

I’m not sure what the solution should be. I just hope someone comes up with one.
