Laser TV?

[Image removed]Mistubishi is expected to demo a new type of Laser-projection TV on Friday that should do a lot of cool things.

Looking forward, I’m sure that I’m going to want to get some sort of large-screen TV when I finally settle into a place that I’m going to stay in for a while, so I like to keep my eyes on the myriad of new and upcoming options. It’s been fun to watch the prices keep falling on old-CRT-style rear-projection HDTVs that, in everything but depth, still seem to outperform the newfangled LCD and Plasma tv sets that everyone sees all over the place.

Maybe the laser TV, which is expected to have virtually limitless “laser” life (i.e. the lasers won’t burn out), a really lightweight design (meaning that you won’t need a huge frame to support the heavy components), and a really nice picture.

With any luck, it’ll be as good as they’re boasting.
