Learning the internet

I just successfully installed, set up, and test-ran phpAdsNew, the free open-source ad server on Flicker.

In fact, over the past two days, I’ve done a complete overhaul and re-design of the Flicker site, which started with deleting the entire thing. I’m impressed with myself because I’ve learned a lot about configuring Wordpress (and K2 in particular) that I didn’t know before. I’ve also learned about ad servers.

At the same time, I’ve definitely come to the end of my abilities. I’ve done what I can with the site, but I’m going to need to find someone who can draw and someone who actually knows how to code in order to get everything ready for launch.

Well, it’s kind of a rolling launch, I guess, since features are going up along the way, and everything’s live from the get-go. But I hope everything continues to go well leading up to our actual launch date.
