Slow on the uptake

One of the features I really like about Safari is how, on the link bar, you can have some set to drop down.

So you can have a “blogs” group on your link bar that you can drop down and selecte from a number of different blogs, thereby saving yourself a lot of precious space at the top of your browswer window. You can also, for example, open said blogs in individual tabs with one click.

I spent some time looking through the Firefox Extensions database for some sort of plugin that does the same thing for Firefox, naturally assuming that since it was such a neat feature someone had done the work to replicate it.

When it occurred to me: they’re folders.

Since Safari has a little arrow instead of any kind of folder icon, I apparently got massively confused and forgot that they were acting exactly the same way as folders in the bookmarks menu.

So I added some folders. They work just right.
