Craigslist

I love Craigslist just as much as the next bloke, but does anyone know why it still costs $75 to post a job listing?

I understand that it’s a lot cheaper than newspapers and, at this point, probably equally or more effective, but isn’t the craigslist model based on getting as much scale as possible? I think I may be just frustrated because I can’t afford to do that and I’m forced to list on the only free services I can find (Google Base and Windows Live Expo).
