Web Statistics
I haven’t gotten ballsy enough to put a sitemeter up on Jason-Preston.com yet. Although I track my statistics obsessively, I feel like there’s a minimum embarrassment threshold I have to reach before I can confidently post my traffic. I’ll get there someday.
In the meantime, I’m going to share with everyone the top five search terms that have clicked-through to my site in the past week. They are, in order:
-
Jason Preston
-
firefox 2.0 beta
-
dancing skeletons
-
wow grinding
-
grinding spots
Now, the first one makes a good amount of sense, but the rest of them show a really cool phenomenon:
blogs are not only temporarily relevant. A blog is in fact a wonderful repository of opinion, commentary, and information that adds to the value of the internet overall.
I wrote my post about where to grind in World of Warcraft back in early February, and it’s still two of the top five search terms for me.
But number 3 is definitely my favorite: Dancing Skeletons.
Sure I’ve got that here, but honestly, who searches for that? ;)
