Moving

I spend a lot of time “streamlining” with my personal effects. It goes completely counter-intuitively with my drive to acquire geeky new shit all the time. So while I’m out purchasing a second monitor for my desktop, I’m also wishing I had a laptop that was solid enough to replace my desktop entirely.

Why is this? I’m not entirely sure, but there’s nobody as can’t say I have too much shit. It really bugs me at times like these, when I have to clear all of my stuff out of one place and pack it into a car and cart it somewhere else. The vast majority of my stuff is going into my apartment until September when I get back down to LA, but the important things are coming up to Seattle with me (Computer, clothes, DVDs).

But it seems like no matter how much stuff I take out of my room, it’s still messy as shit, and there’s no less for me to shove into the back seats of my car. I think that to ease my mind I need to sit down and make a comprehensive list of everything that I’m taking with me. Once I’ve done that I’ll just take literally everything else and shove it away in the apartment.

Then, maybe, I’ll have the peace of mind I’m looking for. I always get anxious before trips.
