29 is the number

The number of drafts I have in my Wordpress queue.

It’s a little ridiculous. I think it’s a part of my “immediacy” issue when I blog. For some reason, it’s a lot easier for me to spit something out than it is for me to really think about it before I write. It must have something to do with the way I think and operate.

I like to make bold statements that I think *might* have some tenable basis, and then see how much they get torn down. Part of doing that is not thinking through everything I say before I write it down or tell it to people.

The 29 drafts are evidence enough that if I don’t really start writing something the moment I think about it, chances are slim that it will ever see daylight. I think this is also because I get daunted by the effort it would take to actually write, consider, and edit a post instead of just rambling.

I should stop with this post and go work on some of my drafts.
