OK GO: Who needs MTV?

I just spotted another OK GO video on YouTube. For those of you who missed out on A Million Ways, you can find it here. I think it’s maybe a little better than the new one.

These have to be some of the most creative music videos I’ve seen in a long time, and they’re being distributed for free on YouTube and Google Video, just like anyone else in the world can.

There is a lot of talk about how YouTube is flawed because it promotes copyright infringement. I think it’s great that there are content owners out there who realize how YouTube can be an incredible way to get your stuff out there.

The real problem with YouTube, if any, is that you have to cover the bandwidth and hosting cost for videos that aren’t always played on your site and supported by your ads.
