Orson Scott Card's new book is 1/4 free

Empire, which I guess is being released on the 28th, is Orson Scott Card’s latest offering. And he’s being smart about it: the first 1/4 of the book is available for free online at his web site.

It’s brilliant because it’s enough of the book to find out that it’s good and to get really interested in the plot, enough to feel like it’s not just a little “teaser” of the best portion of the book, but the only way you’re going to finish the story is to actually read the book.

I’m pretty sure I’m getting it when it comes out.
