Rain is awesome

It’s funny that even in Seattle, I’m one of the only people that really likes the rain. I think the problem is that most of the rain we get up here is more like mist than proper rain; it wafts from the sky like dew showing up sheepishly to the party, late and embarrassed.

I’m OK with that kind of rain. But the kind of rain I really like is the kind of rain that really decides to fall. There’s something about the inconsistent patter of raindrops against windows and roof tops that evokes the cheesy, childish get-a-mug-of-cocoa part of me.

Which is why I love the rain. Sitting inside a nice warm room with a hot mug of cocoa and watching (or just listening) to the rain fall outside is pretty amazing.
