The unfortunate shortage of grad tickets

I’m pretty sure the Oxy graduation ceremony is happening outside—this is LA after all—which means that it’s very unlikely the whole football stadium will fill up. One homecoming we had someone parachute into the field, and it didn’t show up. I know people care more about skydiving than graduation.

However, the administration has capped everyone at 10 tickets. You can trade around for extras, but good luck.

I’ve been looped in on a massive flurry of e-mails from desperate seniors:

Hi everyone!

I am in desperate need of 3 more tickets for graduation, and I’m
wondering if any of you might not be needing some of the 10 you’re
receiving.

If you wanna go with numbers, I actually need 7 more tickets, so if anyone is willing to help me out, and daisy needs 9.

It’s a mess. I need extra tickets myself, but luckily enough I think I snagged some early on from a friend. I figured they’d come in handy just in case people turned out to be skydiving.

But the lesson here is that Oxy needs to be less stingy handing out graduation tickets.

(On a side note, I just accidentally added a non-word to the Firefox dictionary. How the hell do I get it out???)
