Any movie without an online trailer is shooting itself in the foot

I realize that the reason I cant find an online version of the trailer for The Dark is Rising is probably because the trailer was just made. But on the other hand, it’s showing at the beginning of Harry Potter in the theaters, so why can’t they stream it online?

I missed the trailer last night, and thought, “no problem, I’ll just check it out online.” The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper has been one of my favorite stories for years, and it could make an awesome set of movies.

However, it seems like Fox is (as usual) being retarded, and not providing the trailer online anywhere. A trailer is free advertising, it builds hype, people want to see them and share them---why limit yourself?
