PS3 80GB edition now available, or you can just add a hard drive to a smaller PS3

This is maybe the first Playstation-related release that it is possible to miss. If you live in the US you can now run over to Gamestop and buy an 80GB version for the original, way-too-much price.

Or, as I just found out, it’s entirely possible to just buy a hard drive from newegg and attach it to any version of the PS3. Save yourself some cash and buy a 20GB version from ebay.

Frankly, I got a PS3 months ago and it’s basically served its time since I finished Resistance as a Blu-Ray player only.
