I like keeping an eye on video game press releases because I get juicy tidbits like these. I’ve been salivating over Hellgate: London ever since I spotted it in PCGamer last year.

Basically, this game is what happens when you take the majority of the group that worked on Diablo and Diablo II, and you let them make one game for the next five years. It promises to be one hell of a game, meshing up the RPG elements I loved from Diablo with a touch of the FPS feel that always works best for me in games.

EA just announced an October 31st release date for the game in the US and, November 2nd for Europe:

Hellgateâ„¢: London, the premier title from Flagship Studios, will start hitting retail stores in North America on October 31, 2007 and in Europe on November 2, 2007 for the PC. Hellgate: London represents the next leap in the evolution of the action RPG genre, combining the depth and addictive gameplay of traditional RPGs with the visceral action of first-person shooters.
