Did you know that projector lamps explode?

Holy crap it’s October. When did that happen? I’ve been absolutely negligent in posting for, well, I guess about half of a month.

I found out several things this past weekend. Let me go through the list:

  1. Projector lamps are really loud when they explode

  2. Amazon is offering mp3 downloads cheaper than iTunes. Game over.

  3. It takes more than a truck at 20 MPH to break the tail lights on my Civic (it breaks many other things though)

  4. My Media Center is as good as dead for the foreseeable future.

  5. I’m incredibly bad at Halo 3

I stopped by and played some Halo 3 online with my brother yesterday, which was probably a mistake because I think I actually made the game experience worse with my complete inability to remember the new reload button (WTF right shoulder?).

I’ve had the projector mounted up on the back wall on a shelf (not ceiling mounted), and I’m hoping that the bulb exploded due to some weird equipment malfunction - it had about half of its life left - and not because of the mounting. It would be, to say the least, a huge bummer to drop $300 on a bulb only to have it overheat and explode again in another week.

OK I’m going to spend some well-deserved relaxation time playing Counter-Strike.
