Guitar Hero III: Enter Pat Benatar

While down in Los Angeles I stayed with my friend Spencer, whose birthday it was on November 1st. And for his birthday he’d gotten a copy of Guitar Hero III, which I had a chance to play.

Unfortunately the memory card in his PS2 is off-brand and definitely wonky, so it wouldn’t save any of the progress we made in unlocking songs. I was pretty much only able to play the first 8, but they are awesome.

Remember how with the previous Guitar Hero games there were about four songs worth playing, and 200 pieces of absolute crap being covered by crap bands? This game is way different.

I’ve decided I’m going to wait and pick it up for the 360, after I get a 360. Mostly because I want the sweet 360 wireless guitar with a collapsable neck and other cool “i’m-a-sucker-for-technology” things. But I might not make it. I’m not sure I can go back to Guitar Hero II…
