He is talking about his media setup - three entertainment systems each with a Mac Mini hooked up to the TV, and how it lets him share video and music throughout the house.

I use a custom-built media center in my house, which for me works in much the same way, and lets me stream recorded TV shows to the computer in my room. Sooner or later, though, computers and cable boxes are going to merge. It’s inevitable.
