Just saw Beowulf in 3D

I just got back from seeing Beowulf at the AMC in Seattle - it was surprisingly good. I went into it having never read the book or heard the story, and the movie version (which I assume is moderately, mildly, or at least tangentially related to the book) has a very cool storyline.

For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, the script went something like this:

Grendel: *wailing noise*

Anthony Hopkins: I am completely badass.

Beowulf: *grunt*

Grendel: *more wailing*

Beowulf: THIS IS SPART…I mean…I AM BEOWULF!

Angelina Jolie: I’m naked.

Beowulf: *grunt*

…and so on.

Also the CG was gorgeous.

But seriously, it’s worth checking out in 3-D.
