Thinking I might jailbreak my iPhone

Given the information here and in this comment here, I think I might jailbreak my iPhone soon.

I still need to do a little more research. I don’t yet understand the process of updating firmware once you’ve jailbroken a phone. I assume that the safest way to update is to restore the iPhone to factory condition and then update firmware. Then you can jailbreak it again if you want.

I also need to go figure out specifically what I would install on a jailbroken phone. Make sure it’s worth it ;)

And I need to figure out whether I should use iNdependence or ZiPhone.
