Link Carryover

I wonder how many links carry over from one blog post to another. When I follow up on a conversation that someone else started, or add my voice to a conversation that’s already going on, I usually take at least one link through from the original post to mine.

I wonder how often that happens. It would be interesting to measure whether different people have a different amount of link carryover (i.e. a post from Fred Wilson might get carried-over more often than a post from Eat Sleep Publish).

That could be a cool metric to roll into influence measurement.
