Snow and Ice
I’m in North Conway, New Hampshire right now, where they’re apparently all used to this “snow” stuff that’s got Seattle all screwed up right now.
On the one hand, it’s awesome to be out here and see a foot and a half dump from the sky instead of the puny couple of inches that have been dropping in Seattle. My Dad e-mailed me some pictures from around the house, and it looks like a lot of snow to me.
On the other hand though, snow is so expected out here that it’s not anywhere near as much fun. Being in Seattle last Thursday was a bit like going to the opening midnight show of a much-anticipated movie---there’s a kind of atmosphere to it. People bundle up, take a break from life, and get into it.
That said, we certainly don’t get icicles like this in Seattle:
