Starbucks lets people buy a friend coffee on Facebook
Under a new Give a Gift feature on the Starbucks Card Facebook app, people can load cash directly onto a friend’s Starbucks card â anything between $5 and $500 â sort of a digital stocking stuffer.
This could turn out to be a serious moneymaker for Starbucks, especially in time for the holiday season (weather is cold, people are generous). There’s something much easier, in a way, about buying coffee for someone else than just buying coffee for yourself.
